Orb Encounter

I attended the 2023 MontanaCon Mystery conference in Kalispell this past weekend, and truly enjoyed the presentations, especially the shared stories of paranormal experiences.

It prompted a memory of my own encounter many years ago. I was driving north on Aviation Boulevard near LAX airport late one night during the winter of 2000/2001. I had watched a midnight movie, so it was maybe 2 am and the road was empty, a rare experience in Los Angeles. I noticed that something approached me at high speed from the southeast direction, before slowing to pace my car outside the passenger window. It was close enough I saw some kind of curved etching on a metallic-matte surface. The orb was about 12 inches in diameter and had a burnt-orange, dark color. I had the distinct impression I was being observed and tracked. I kept driving and the orb stayed with me for less than a minute, then it shot north across the edge of an airport runway and flew beyond Malibu in a split second.

The photo below is somewhat close to what I saw, although mine didn’t have any seams or rivets.
